Light Inspired by the Japanese term “Koga”, which stands for painting with light and “Shashin”, that signifies the reproduction of truth, Wolfgang Sagmeister occupies himself with the source of life: Light. Condition and Base at the same time. One thinks to see the vibration of the light and to feel its energy and voltage. The focus of his works lies within the manipulation of light. To which extent is it still noticeable? What is real and what modified? The red, blue and white light bars for example are not manipulated. Nowadays light is taken for granted and its importance as base of life rarely noticed. Light is used in all electronic media and in this context seen as the “truth”. Light in the Art is mainly known from paintings and object art. The pictures were created with the help of modern techniques in an experimental artistic process. The generated lights display never before seen patterns, shapes and colours. (Christina Strohschneider) Technische Daten: Limitierte Edition von 10/+ 3 Artist Proofs, signiert C-Print auf Hanhemühle Baryta, Alu Dibond 105cm x 70cm 70cm x 70cm
